(ORAL) Through this petition, the petitioner seeks anticipatory bail in case bearing FIR No.192 dated 05.07.2020, registered under Sections 21 and 29 of the NDPS Act, at Police Station Bhawanigarh, District Sangrur. Status report by way of an affidavit dated 20.01.2022 of the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Circle Bhawanigarh, District Sangrur, filed on behalf of the respondent-State, in the Court, is taken on record. Vide order dated 23.03.2022 passed by a Coordinate Bench of tthis Court, the petitioner had been granted ad interim pre-arrest bail and directed to join the investigation.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that pursuant to the aforesaid order, the petitioner has joined the investigation. Learned State counsel, on instructions from ASI Bikkar Singh, submits that the petitioner has joined the investigation and is now not required for any further investigation.

CRM-M-25369-2020 (O&M) -2In view of the above, without commenting on the merits of the case, the present petition is allowed and the order dated 23.03.2022 granting interim bail to the petitioner, is made absolute, subject to the conditions laid down in Section 438 (2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
