HARSIMRAN SINGH SETHI, J.(ORAL) Status report by way of an affidavit of Mr. Simranjit Singh, PPS, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Industrial Area, Ludhiana has been filed by the learned State counsel and the same is taken on record. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that keeping in view the status report filed, the petitioner does not wish to press this petition any further and may be allowed to withdraw the same. Ordered accordingly.

Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that in the status report, it has been submitted by the police that the general Power of Attorney Annexure P-2, which is being relied upon by the petitioner is a forged one and has never been registered. Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that the petitioner had got the said documents from the Sewa Kendra under the Right to Information Act. CRM-M-28539-2020 In the facts and circumstances of the present case, the investigating agency is directed to enquire as to how, the Sewa Kendra issued a copy of the said Power of Attorney Annexure P-2 attached with the present petition along with their stamp to the petitioner. In case, any illegality is found while issuing the said copy of Power of Attorney to the petitioner, appropriate action in that regard be also taken by the police against the persons, who have committed the said illegal act and report to this Court.
