The petitioner has approached this Court seeking grant of anticipatory bail in respect of a case registered vide FIR No.61 dated 6.4.2020 at Police Station Lopoke, District Amritser under Sections 307 and 34 of Indian Penal Code. 2.

At the time of issuance of notice of motion the following order was passed: " The petitioner has approached this Court seeking grant of anticipatory bail in a case registered under Section 307 IPC wherein allegations are to the effect that the petitioner had fired four shots at the complainant with his pistol upon being exhorted by co-accused Gurpinder Singh.

( 2 ) Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the matter has since been compromised amongst the parties as per compromise (Annexure P-1).

At this stage, Mr. J.S. Bajwa, Advocate has appeared on behalf of the complainant and has endorsed the factum of compromise amongst parties.

Meanwhile, in the event of arrest, the petitioner be released on interim bail subject to his furnishing personal bonds and surety bonds to the satisfaction of Arresting/Investigating Officer. However, the petitioner shall join the investigation as and when called upon to do so and cooperate with the Investigating Officer and shall also abide by the conditions as provided under Section 438 (2) Cr.P.C. The petitioner is however directed to compensate the complainant in respect of the injuries caused to him for an amount of `2 lakhs to be paid by way of demand draft before the trial Court. The aforesaid amount of `2 lakhs shall be in addition to the compromise which may have been settled as per the compromise."

Mr. J.S.Bajwa, Advocate, representing the complainant has informed that pursuant to interim directions, the complainant has received the amount of `2 lakhs and that since the matter has been compromised, he has no objection for grant of anticipatory bail.

Learned State counsel has informed that pursuant to interim directions, the petitioner has since joined investigation.

Having regard to the aforestated position, wherein the matter is stated to have been amicably resolved amongst the parties and that the petitioner has joined investigation, the petition is accepted and the interim directions issued by this Court vide order dated 2.9.2020 are hereby made absolute subject to the condition that the petitioner shall join investigation as and when called upon
