Learned counsel for the petitioner has confined the relief in this petition only for the safety and security of the petitioner, as respondents No.4 and 5 with whom he has some property dispute, are giving threats to him.

Without expressing any opinion on merits, this petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Fatehgarh Sahib to verify the allegations as levelled in the representation Annexure P-2 only regarding threat to the life and liberty of the petitioner and if any substance found therein, take appropriate action in accordance with law on receipt of copy of this order along with representation (Annexure P-2).

However, it is made clear that the above order will not be interpreted to provide protection to the petitioner from any legal action to be taken in any civil, criminal or any other proceedings initiated against him in accordance with law.
