Present second petition has been filed under Section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure for grant of bail pending trial to the petitioner in FIR No.59 dated 26.06.2021, under Sections 22 & 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances, Act, 1985 (for short, 'NDPS Act'), registered at Police Station Mallanwala, District Ferozepur, Punjab.

Allegations are that 450 loose intoxicating tablets of Tramadol Hydrochloride were recovered from the petitioner and other co-accused.

At the outset, learned State counsel, on instructions, has apprised the Court that entire prosecution evidence is over and now the matter is pending for defence evidence.

In view of the above, this Court is not inclined to entertain the petition, at this stage.
