SURINDER GUPTA, J.(Oral) This petition is for seeking protection of life and liberty of petitioners, who alleged to have married against the wishes of respondents No. 6 to 10 parents and other relatives of petitioner No.1. Learned counsel for the petitioners has limited his prayer for taking appropriate action in accordance with law on the representation dated 27.02.2017 (Annexure P-5) made by the petitioners. It has been stated that both the petitioners are major. The date of birth of petitioner No.1-Meena is 27.01.1992 as per copy of Aadhaar Card (Annexure P-1) and year of birth of petitioner No.2-Rajinder Kumar is 1989 as per copy of Aadhaar Card (Annexure P-2). They got married on 27.02.2017. Photographs of marriage are Annexure P-4.
In view of the prayer made by the learned counsel for the petitioners, but without expressing any opinion on the validity of marriage of petitioners, petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.2Senior Superintendent of Police, Sri Muktsar Sahib to look into the Sachin Mehta 2017.03.01 16:55 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document HIGH COURT, CHANDIGARH
