The petitioner has approached this Court seeking issuance of directions to the official respondents to take appropriate action on the complaint dated 17.7.2021 (Annexure P-5) submitted by the petitioner. 2.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner's son namely Vivek Kumar was fond of Sandhia, daughter of respondent No.4-Vishal Kumar, and both of them were in love with each other and also intended to marry but the said proposal was not acceptable to the family of Sandhia particularly her father i.e. respondent No.4 and respondent No.5-Ish Bhumbak. It has further been submitted that infact when respondent No.4 came to know about the intention of his daughter to marry petitioner's son, he physically tortured his daughter and confined her to home and ever since had been threatening to PANKAJ KAKKAR 2021.09.08 19:06 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
( 2 ) CRM-M-31457-2021 (O&M) cause harm to the petitioner and to other members of her family and also implicate them in false case as he is having contacts with local M.C. and other police officials.

Learned counsel for the petitioner, in order to buttress his submissions, places reliance upon certain photographs of her son and daughter of respondent No.4 and also to extract of certain conversations between the two of them on social media and has also annexed a copy of Aadhar Card of daughter of respondent No.4, which according to the petitioner was handed over when petitioner's and daughter of respondent No.4 intended to marry and to seek protection from this Court.

Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and while refraining from making any expression as regards veracity of the averments made in the petition, the instant petition is disposed off with a direction to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Patiala, Punjab to look into the matter and to dispose off the representation dated 17.7.2021 (Annexure P-5) expeditiously accordance with law. In case, it is found that there is any genuine threat to life and liberty of the petitioner or to other members of her family, then adequate steps be taken so as to ensure that no harm is caused to the petitioner or to other members of her family. 5.
