SURINDER GUPTA, J.(Oral) This petition is for seeking protection of life and liberty of petitioners, who alleged to have married against the wishes of respondents No. 4 to 7, father and brothers of petitioner No.1. Learned counsel for the petitioners has limited his prayer for taking appropriate action in accordance with law on the representation dated 21.02.2017 (Annexure P-5) made by the petitioners. It has been stated that both the petitioners are major. The date of birth of petitioner No.1-Shellja is10.10.1998 as per copy of Aadhaar Card (Annexure P-1) and that of petitioner No.2-Amarjeet Singh is 20.06.1994 as per copy of Voter Identification Card (Annexure P-2). They got married on 21.02.2017. Photographs of marriage are Annexure P-4.

In view of the prayer made by the learned counsel for the petitioners, but without expressing any opinion on the validity of marriage of petitioners, petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.2Senior Superintendent of Police, Barnala to look into the representation Sachin Mehta 2017.03.02 10:22 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document HIGH COURT, CHANDIGARH
