(ORAL) Petitioner-Sitar Mohammad is seeking quashing of notification dated 03.01.2017 (Annexure P-1) issued under Section 11 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 (for short 'the Act'); notification dated 12.01.2018 (Annexure P-7) issued under Section 19 of the Act and award dated 18.05.2018 (Annexure P-11) passed under Section 31 of the Act whereby land of graveyard measuring 19 marlas bearing khasra No.43 situated at village Rani Majra has been acquired. On notice of the writ petition, reply has been filed by respondent No.2 on 02.09.2020. -2CWP-14219 of 2019 of the meeting held on 04.06.2020 has been placed on record as Annexure R-2/III. In the said meeting petitioner, Mr. Balwinder Singh, Zonal Waqf Board Officer, Labh Singh, Sarpanch Village Rani Majra and other persons of the village were present and consent was given to take compensation of the acquired land measuring 19 marlas. It was decided to purchase alternate land for graveyard for the Muslim fraternity. It is further mentioned that after collecting compensation by the Punjab Waqf Board from the Reference Court, petitioner-Sitar Mohammad and Labh Singh, Sarpanch, Village Rani Majra will have no objection. Petitioner also stated that he will withdraw the present writ petition. Learned counsel for respondent No.4 informs the Court that they have collected the compensation from the Reference Court.

Since the compensation has been withdrawn and the Waqf Board is bound by the statement given in the meeting held on 04.06.2020 (Annexure R-2/III) that they will purchase the alternate land for graveyard for Muslim fraternity, no further orders are required to be passed. Disposed of accordingly.
