*** Nidhi Gupta, J. (Oral) Prayer in the present petition filed under Section 482 CrPC is for quashing of FIR No.26 dated 25.01.2018 under Sections 363/366-A IPC registered at Police Station Division No.4, District Ludhiana and all consequential proceedings arising therefrom with further prayer that during the pendency of the present petition, operation of the FIR (Annexure P/2) may be stayed.
At the very outset, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that he may be permitted to withdraw the present petition as he has no instructions in the matter.
On the other hand, learned State counsel on instructions from SI Sukhdev Singh informs this Court that the accused (petitioner herein) in the present case has since expired and the proceedings against him have abated, therefore, the present petition has become infructuous and may be disposed of as such.
In view of the position noted above as well as the statement of learned counsel for the parties, the present petition is disposed of as having been rendered infructuous.
