This petition is filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus or any appropriate writ, order or direction directing respondents No. 3 and 4 to protect the life and personal liberty of the petitioner and his family, and to provide adequate police protection, including deployment of armed security personnel, in view of grave threats allegedly received from designated terrorist groups under the Unlawful RENU RAWAT 2026.05.07 16.14 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh
CRWP-4666-2026 (O&M) Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 with a further prayer that directions be issued to the respondents to register an FIR against Paramjit Singh Takhar, Jasbir Singh Johal, Harminder Narwal and their accomplices on the basis of the petitioner's complaints and threat communications and an interim direction for protection during the pendency of the present petition. 2.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is receiving threats from terrorist groups and apprehends danger to his life and personal liberty at the hands of one Paramjit Singh Takhar. 3.
I have heard the submissions made by learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the record.
