(ORAL) Grievance expressed in the petition is that petitioner had filed review petition in 2006 against the order dated 06.04.2005 (Annexure P-3) whereby revision petition preferred against impugned order was dismissed. On this account, notice of motion was issued. Learned State Counsel, on instructions from Mr. Amit Thakur, Assistant (Home-I) submitted that there is no provision in the Punjab Police Rules for review/mercy petition, however, notice of personal hearing was sent to petitioner for 10.09.2019 but nobody turned up and next date for personal hearing is fixed for 25.09.2019.

Learned counsel for petitioner submitted that petitioner would appear before the authority i.e. Additional Chief Secretary on the date fixed for personal hearing.
