The present contempt petition has been filed under Sections 11 and 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 for initiation of contempt proceedings against the respondents for non-compliance of the order dated 20.04.2024 (Annexure P-1) passed by this Court in CWP-8720-2024. 2.
Learned counsel for the petitioner would contend that legal notice dated 06.02.2024 was to be decided within a period of 8 weeks. However, the same has not been decided till date. 3.
Issue notice to the respondents to show cause as to why proceedings under the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 be not initiated against them for non-compliance of the aforesaid order. 4.
Mr. Suneel Ranga, DAG Haryana who is present in Court and, on the asking of the Court, puts in appearance on behalf of the respondents. He has handed over a copy of the order dated 01.08.2024 passed by the Director, Archaeology & Museums Department, Haryana, Chandigarh AMAN JAIN 2025.05.02 16:15 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this order/judgment
COCP-2101-2025 (O&M) -2deciding the legal notice of the petitioner herein. A copy of the said order was communicated to the petitioner by way of registered post, receipt qua the same has also been appended with the order. The order dated 01.08.2024 (supra) is taken on record, the same be scanned and tagged. Faced with the same, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the present contempt petition. 6.
Dismissed as withdrawn. Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed off.
