Mr. Virendra Pratap Singh, Advocate, for the petitioner. Mr. Gagandeep Singh Wasu, Addl. P.P. for U.T., Chandigarh. HARSIMRAN SINGH SETHI, J.(ORAL) Present petition has been filed for issuance of the writ of Habeas Corpus for the search and production of the detenue Ankul, who is the real sister of the petitioner and is missing since 24.08.2020 and as per the allegations of the petitioner, she has been abducted by respondent No.4 and he is keeping the detenue in his custody against her will. Notice of motion.

Mr. Gagandeep Singh Wasu, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who has joined the proceedings through video conference, keeping in view the service of advance copy of petition, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents No. 1 to 3.

Learned counsel for the respondents submits that the petitioner had already approached the police raising the same grievance and during the investigation, it was found that the so called detenue is living with respondent No.4 with her own sweet will, which fact has already been NARESH KUMAR 2020.08.31 16:11 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh

CRWP-6622-2020 informed to the petitioner as well as to his other brother and the detenue has already spoken to both the brothers in the presence of the police stating that she is living with respondent No.4 as per her free will and consent. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that keeping in view the said statement, he does not wish to press this petition and the same may be disposed of having been not pressed.

In view of the above, the present petition is disposed of having been not pressed.
