Petitioner has filed this petition under Section 438 Cr.P.C. for grant of anticipatory bail in case FIR No.338 dated 31.07.2016 under Sections 379-B and 34 IPC, registered at Police Station Civil Lines, Amritsar.

I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner and have gone through the record.

The perusal of the record shows that FIR in the present case has been got registered by Rajwinder Kaur, who alleged that three persons on one motorcycle, snatched her mobile phone make GIONEE. Out of them, one of the accused fell down, who was taken to the police post with the help of passers-by. The present petitioner has been nominated in this case on the basis of disclosure statement suffered by the co-accused. CRM No.M-24508 of 2019 -2case, nature and gravity of the offence and in view of the serious allegations against the petitioner, I find that he is required for custodial interrogation and no ground is made out for grant of benefit of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Therefore, finding no merit in the present petition, the same is dismissed.
