The petitioner has approached this Court seeking grant of anticipatory bail in respect of a case registered vide FIR No. 84 dated 19.3.2020 under Sections 420/120-B of Indian Penal Code at Police Station Sadar Dhuri, District Sangrur.

At the time of issuance of notice of motion on 2.9.2020, the following order was passed :
"The matter pertains to the allegations pertaining to cheating the complainant of an amount of `1,27,000/-.
The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the matter has been amicably resolved amongst the parties and an amount of `70,000/- has already been paid and that the balance amount is to be paid at the time of recording of statements of the parties for quashing of the FIR pursuant to the compromise. Meanwhile, in the event of arrest, the petitioner be released on interim bail subject to his furnishing personal bonds and surety bonds to the satisfaction of Arresting/Investigating Officer. However, the petitioner shall join the investigation as and when called upon to do so and cooperate with the Investigating Officer and shall also abide by the conditions as provided under Section 438 (2) Cr.P.C. "

The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that pursuant to compromise, a petition for quashing of the FIR on the basis of compromise i.e. CRM-M-3136-2021 has also been filed in this Court. 4.
Learned State counsel, upon instructions from ASI Sher Singh, has informed that pursuant to interim directions issued by this Court the petitioner has since joined investigation and is not required for any custodial interrogation and that he is not involved in any other case. 5.
Having heard the learned counsel for the parties and bearing in mind the facts and circumstances of the case and also that the petitioner has already joined investigation and is not required for any custodial interrogation, the present petition is accepted and the interim directions issued by this Court vide order dated 2.9.2020 are hereby made absolute, subject to the condition that the petitioner shall continue to join investigation as and when called upon to do so and cooperate with the Investigating Officer and shall also abide by the conditions as provided under Section 438 (2) Cr.P.C. 29.7.2022 ( Gurvinder Singh Gill ) kamal Judge Whether speaking /reasoned Yes / No Whether Reportable Yes / No KAMAL KUMAR 2022.07.29 16:50 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
