The prayer in the present petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is for the issuance of directions to respondents No.1 to 4 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners and his family members and to provide adequate security to him keeping in view the fact that the petitioner has got registered FIR No.243 dated 09.11.2017 under Sections 365, 342, 34 of IPC registered at Police Station Sadar Amritsar, against respondents No.6 to 8.

The learned State counsel, at the very outset, submits that the aforementioned FIR has culminated in a cancellation report dated 24.02.2025, which is pending adjudication before the concerned Illaqa Magistrate. As regards protection, he contends that the instant petition was filed way back in May, 2019 and neither the petitioner nor his family members have been attacked at the instance of the private respondents. 3.

I have heard leaned counsel for the parties.

The FIR in question arises out of a matrimonial dispute between the petitioner and respondent No.8/Harpreet Kaur, wife of the petitioner. The FIR got registered at the instance of the petitioner already stands cancelled. Regarding facing threats to his life, apparently, for the last seven years, the petitioner and his family members have not been attacked at the instance of the private respondents. 5.

In view of the above, no further orders are required to be passed by this Court.
