AARADHNA SAWHNEY , J (ORAL) The limited prayer in the present criminal writ petition filed under Section 528 of BNSS by the petitioner-wife is for expeditious disposal of application filed by her, seeking grant of ad interim maintenance, in a time bound manner.

Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that a petition bearing MNT-125-4-2024 dated 23.01.2024 titled as "Gurwinder Kaur vs. Dr. Amrit Singh" under Section 125 Cr.P.C had been filed by petitioner on 23.01.2024. Said petition was accompanied by an application for grant of interim maintenance and litigation expenses. Copy of said application appended as Annexure P.2 with the present petition has also been referred to by learned counsel. Learned counsel submits that said application has not been decided till date despite the fact that respondent has put in appearance and filed his written statement affidavit etc.
