RAJESH BHARDWAJ, J.(ORAL) Prayer in the present petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing official respondents to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of respondents no.7 and 8.

Notice of motion to official respondents only. On asking of the Court, Mr.Sandeep Kumar, DAG, Punjab, who is present in Court, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents/State. After hearing counsel for the parties, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3, i.e. the Senior Superintendent of Police, Fatehgarh Sahib, to look into the representation, if any filed by the petitioners before him within seven days from today, and decide the same in accordance with law expeditiously preferably within a period of one month from the date of its filing.
