Through this writ petition, the petitioner calls in question the order passed on 28.09.2022 whereby his two annual increments have been stopped.

The learned State counsel submits that two annual increments without cumulative effect have been stopped and not to the permanent effect. 3.

The learned counsel representing the petitioner, upon realizing that the impugned order is appealable in accordance with the provisions of the Punjab Civil Services (Punishment and Appeal) Rules, 1970, prays for permission to withdraw the present writ petition in order to avail the alternative remedy of appeal.
