Prayer in this writ petition filed by the petitioner under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus, directing respondent No.4, to release the actual amount of gratuity payable to the petitioner along with interest @ 18% per annum, till the date of actual realization. 2.
Learned counsel for the petitioner, at the very outset, confines his prayer for deciding representation dated 02.05.2024 (Annexure P-4). He submits that at this stage, petitioner would be satisfied, if the said representation is decided by passing a speaking order within a time bound frame.

Without going into the merits of the case at this stage, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.4, to decide representation dated 02.05.2024 (Annexure P-4), expeditiously submitted by the petitioner by passing a speaking order, preferably within a period of 03 months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
