 Gurpal Singh has filed this petition under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (for brevity, 'Cr.P.C.') for grant of anticipatory bail in case FIR No.23 dated 06.02.2017, registered at Police Station Kamboj, District Amritsar Rural, under Sections 353, 186, 506 and 427 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 333 IPC, added later on vide DDR No.13 dated 17.02.2017.

Notice of motion was issued. Learned State counsel has put in appearance on behalf of respondent-State and contested this petition. I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned State counsel and have gone through the record. ! CRM-M-7473-2017 From the record, I find that as per the allegations, electricity meter was in the name of Harbaksh Singh, father of the present petitioner. The accused threw one brickbat which did not hit anybody, but hit the electricity meter. As per the allegations, Bikramjit Singh gave fist blows to Paramjit Singh. However, no injury has been attributed to the present petitioner.

Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the present case; without discussing the facts of the case in minute details and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, I find that no useful purpose will be served by sending the petitioner to custody. Therefore, finding merit in the present petition, the same is allowed. It is ordered that
