The petitioner through the instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondents to release passport of the petitioner bearing No. M5847116. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner inter alia submits that petitioner is holding passport bearing No. M5847116. Another lady namely Mahi Kaur by misrepresenting facts has got issued passport in the name of petitioner. Police has registered FIR against Mahi Kaur and arrested her. Mahi Kaur at present is facing trial under Sections 419, 420, 468 and 471 of IPC and she in her statement recorded by police has admitted the aforesaid facts.
