This is a petition filed under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus for directing respondent Nos.2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner from the hands of the private respondents. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner would contend that in this regard a representation dated 15.05.2023 (Annexure P-1) has also been given to the Senior Superintendant of Police, Malerkotla. However, no action has been taken till date.

In view of the limited prayer made, the present petition is disposed off with a direction to respondent No.2 - Senior Superintendant of Police, Malerkotla - to look into the representation dated 15.05.2023 (Annexure P-1) and take necessary action, if required, within a period of 15 days from today. Meanwhile, the official respondents are directed to ensure the safety and security of the petitioner. Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed off.
