Instant petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for directing the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for her promotion from the post of Social Science Teacher to Lecturer along with all backlog benefits from the year 2006 as junior to the petitioner was promoted to the higher post in the year 2006 whereas the petitioner was promoted on 24.07.2018. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that for redressal of her grievance, petitioner has served legal notice dated 17.09.2025 (Annexure P-4) upon the respondents, however, the same is still pending consideration. Learned counsel for the petitioner confines his prayer for disposing of the legal notice dated 17.09.2025 (Annexure P4) and submits that at this stage, petitioner would be satisfied, if the said legal notice is considered and disposed of by passing a speaking order in a time-bound frame.

Notice of motion restricts to respondents no.1 to 5 only. 4.

Mr. Surya Kumar, AAG, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the official respondents and has no objection to the innocuous prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner.

I have heard learned counsel for the parties and have gone through the record of the case.

Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case or the claim being made by the petitioner in the present petition, respondent No.3 is directed to consider and decide the claim made by the petitioner in the legal notice dated 17.09.2025 (Annexure P-4) in accordance with law, by passing a speaking order within a period of three months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. 7.

The petition stands disposed of.
