(Oral) Prayer in this petition is for grant of regular bail to the petitioner, in a case arising out of FIR No. 68 dated 18.06.2015, registered at Police Station Sadar Roopnagar, District Roopnagar, who has been booked for having committed the offence punishable under Section 302/34 IPC.

Learned counsel has referred to order dated 08.02.2016 passed in CRM-M-13304 of 2016 whereby the co-accused of the petitioner namely Banta Singh (father of the petitioner) was granted regular bail. In this petition, reference was made to statement of Navneet Kaur whereby she stated that on the day of death of her mother, panchayat had come in their house. The dispute was with regard to one house where the deceased wanted to shift and her father was opposing the idea. Learned State counsel on instructions from Investigating Officer submits that out of 13 witnesses, 03 have been given up and only GAURAV ARORA 2017.03.17 14:34 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh

Crl. Misc. No. M-7571 of 2017 -2complainant has been examined. Heard.

Petitioner is in custody since 12.08.2016 Keeping in view the fact that the trial is likely to take some time to conclude and the fact that the co-accused has also been granted regular bail, the present petition is allowed. Petitioner is ordered to be released on bail during pendency of the trial of the present case, subject to his furnishing bail bonds to the satisfaction of the Chief Judicial Magistrate/Duty Magistrate, Roopnagar.
