(ORAL) CRM-39048-2021 In this application the prayer is for quashing of criminal proceedings arising out of the FIR No.85 dated 22.03.2001, in which the Petitioner was convicted by the Court of Ld. Judicial Magistrate 1st Class, Patiala for the offences punishable under Sections 419 read with Sections 511, 465, 467, 468, 471 of the IPC as well as the Judgments of Conviction passed by Ld. JMIC, Patiala and that of Ld. Additional Sessions Judge, Patiala.

The appeal preferred against such judgment of conviction was dismissed by the Ld. Additional Sessions Judge, Patiala on 25.05.2016. As such, the present Revision Petition.

Contention of both the parties now is that they have amicably compromised the dispute. Complainant namely Baljit Singh is present in person, who, on asking of the Court, to verify his identity, is identified by his Counsel and has produced his original Aadhar Card, placed photocopy thereof and has also given his statement that he has no objection if the proceedings are quashed at this stage, which is consistent with the contents of his Affidavit on record as Annexure P-4. Accordingly, the prayer in the application is allowed.

Application stands disposed off.

CRR-2132-2016 (O&M) In view of the above circumstances, the Revision Petition is disposed off with the observation that while sustaining the conviction of the Petitioner, the sentence of the Petitioner is reduced to that already undergone, but the fine clause will remain intact and he will deposit the fine imposed by the Court below, within one month, if not already deposited. 2.
