The present petition has been filed under Section 528 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (for short-'BNSS') for quashing of FIR No. 79 dated 01.04.2025 under Sections 109(1), 3(5) of BNS, 2023 and Section 25(1-B) (A) of the Arms Act registered at Police Station Pataudi, District Gurugram and all the subsequent proceedings arising therefrom, on the basis of compromise dated 23.04.2025 (Annexure P-2). 2.

Ms. Ankita Ahuja, AAG, Haryana accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State. Learned State counsel states that no other FIR has been registered against the petitioners and they have no known criminal antecedents. Mr. Arjun Singh, Advocate appears and accepts notice on behalf of respondent Nos.2, 3 and 4. He has filed his Vakalatnama in the Court today and the same is taken on record. He confirms the factum of the compromise having been effected between the parties and states that respondent Nos. 2, 3 and 4 have no objection to the quashing of the FIR in question. 5.

In that view of the matter, even if this case is taken to its logical conclusion, it would only be an exercise in futility as the parties have already settled their differences. Therefore, no purpose would be served in wasting the time and resources of the State in pursuing this case to its pre-ordained end. It would, therefore, be better to give a quietus to the issue at this stage. 6.

Accordingly, the petition is allowed and FIR No. 79 dated 01.04.2025 under Sections 109(1), 3(5) of BNS, 2023 and Section 25(1-B) (A) of the Arms Act registered at Police Station Pataudi, District Gurugram and all the subsequent proceedings arising therefrom, on the basis of compromise dated 23.04.2025 (Annexure P-2) shall stand quashed qua the petitioners. 7.
