Prayer in this writ petition filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus, directing the respondents to pay the complete retiral benefits in all heads to the petitioner arising out of his service along with complete arrears and also grant interest to the petitioner on the delayed payment of the retiral dues.

At the outset, learned counsel for respondents No.3 and 4, submits that all the admissible retiral dues of the petitioner shall be released within a period of three months from today. He further submits that on the date of retirement of the petitioner, no charge-sheet or disciplinary proceedings were pending against him and he has retired with a clean record.

In the wake of the statement made by learned counsel for respondents No.3 and 4, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to release all admissible retiral dues to the petitioner along with interest @ 6% per annum, in terms of the judgment rendered by the Full Bench of this Court in A.S. Randhawa, Superintending Engineer (Retd.) vs. State of Punjab, 1998 (1) SCT

343. The interest shall be calculated after the expiry of a period of two months from the date of retirement of the petitioner till the date of actual realization.
