Through this petition filed under Section 439 Cr.P.C., the petitioner seeks grant of regular bail in FIR No. 16 dated 28.01.2017, registered under Sections 148, 149, 323, 427, 506 IPC (Sections 325 and 307 IPC added later on), at Police Station Sector 20, Panchkula. Learned counsel for the parties are ad idem that co-accused Rohit Thakur, who has been attributed an identical role as the petitioner, had earlier approached this Court through Crl. Misc. No. M-5467 of 2017 and has already been admitted to regular bail by order of this Court dated 23.02.2017.

That being so, on the principle of parity, the petitioner also deserves to be admitted to bail.
