The instant petition has been filed by the petitioners seeking a writ of mandamus for directing respondent No.2, to decide the statutory appeal dated 09.05.2024 (Annexure P-2) filed by petitioners, against the orders dated 29.04.2024/02.05.2024 (Annexure P-1), passed by respondent No.1 whereby recovery of Rs.26,83,495.50/- each has been imposed upon the petitioners. Further prayer has been made to stay the recovery from the petitioners.

Learned counsel for the petitioners pray for deciding the appeal filed by the petitioners dated 09.05.2024 (Annexure P-2) expeditiously by passing a speaking order in a time-bound manner. 3.

I have heard learned counsel for the petitioners and have gone through the record of the case.

Without going into the merits of the case at this stage, the present petition is disposed of with a direction that the appeal dated MOHD YAKUB 2024.05.22 17:37 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Punjab & Haryana High Court at Chandigarh

CWP No.12088 of 2024 (O&M) 09.05.2024 (Annexure P-2) pending before the Appellate Authority shall be decided within a period of 06 months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. Further recovery from the petitioners shall remain stayed and would be subject to the final order that may be passed by the Appellate Authority.
