The petitioner through instant petition under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to competent authorities of Punjab Forest Department to conduct fair and impartial inquiry and take legal action against respondent No.4-Jarnail Singh, Divisional Forest Officer, Phillaur.

The petitioner claims himself to be in lawful possession of agricultural land measuring 85 Kanals 5 Marlas which was leased to him by Punjab Wakf Board for a consideration of Rs.4,81,750/-. He has been in cultivating possession of land in question. Respondent No.4 misusing his official position is interfering in petitioner's lawful possession. CWP-12615-2026 -2protection in his favour. Despite stay order, respondent has damaged his property and harassing him. He submitted representation dated 26.02.2026 before competent authority but to no avail. 3.

On being confronted with the fact that there is an interim order in favour of the petitioner, thus, alternative remedies are available, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the petition with liberty to avail alternative remedies as permissible by law. 4.

Dismissed as withdrawn with aforesaid liberty. 5.
