SURINDER GUPTA, J.(Oral) This petition is for seeking protection of life and liberty of petitioners, who alleged to have married against the wishes of respondents No. 4 to 8, parents and other relatives of petitioner No.1. Learned counsel for the petitioners has limited his prayer for taking appropriate action in accordance with law on the representation dated 06.03.2017 (Annexure P-5) submitted by the petitioners to Senior Superintendent of Police Fazilka. It has been stated that both the petitioners are major. The date of birth of petitioner No.1-Seema Rani is 13.12.1996 as per copy of Aadhaar Card (Annexure P-1) and year of birth of petitioner No.2-Krishan Lal is 1984 as per copy of Aadhaar Card (Annexure P-2). They got married on 06.03.2017. Photographs of marriage are Annexure P-4.

In view of the submission of learned counsel for the petitioners, but without expressing any opinion on the validity of marriage of petitioners, petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Fazilka to look into the representation dated Sachin Mehta 2017.03.

CRM-M-7771-2017 -206.03.2017 (Annexure P-5) and take appropriate action in accordance with law, on receipt of copy of this order along with representation in his office. However, it is made clear that this order will have no effect on the validity of alleged marriage of the petitioners or on any other civil or criminal proceedings instituted against them.
