The petitioner has approached this Court seeking grant of anticipatory bail in respect of a case registered vide FIR No.64 dated 27.8.2018 at Police Station Women Cell, Ludhiana under Sections 406 and 498-A of Indian Penal Code. 2.
The FIR was lodged at the instance of Ms. Bhawna, wherein it has been alleged that her marriage was solemnized with the pettioner on 13.7.2016 and that although a large number of articles had been given in dowry but her husband and other members of his family were not satisfied with the same and used to harass her in order to press upon their demands of more dowry. 3.
The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the FIR came to be lodged due to some misunderstanding, which has now been resolved and that PANKAJ KAKKAR 2019.10.30 18:31 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
( 2 ) CRM-M-53872-2018 (O&M) the parties have already filed a petition for getting their marriage dissolved under provisions of Section 13-B of Hindu Marriage Act. 4.
Although the learned State counsel has feigned ignorance about any compromise amongst the parties, but it has been informed that the petitioner has since joined investigation.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case and that the petitioner has already joined investigation, custodial interrogation is not warranted.
