1. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is having civil litigation with respondent No.6 Kamal Kumar Bori who is involved in as many as 18 cases, the details of which are mentioned in Annexure P-1. It has been submitted that respondent No.6 and his associates have been issuing threats to the petitioner to give-up his claim in the suit property and has been holding out threats to cause harm to him. It has further been submitted that although the petitioner has submitted a representation dated 25.4.2023 (Annexure P-7) but to no avail.

2. Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, but without commenting anything as regards the merits of the assertions made in the petition, the instant petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.4Commissioner of Police, Amritsar, to get the representation dated 25.4.2023 (Annexure P-7) examined qua the limited extent of the alleged threat perception of the petitioner in accordance with law. In case, it is found that there is genuine threat to life and liberty of the petitioner, then necessary steps warranted under law be taken thereupon.

3. A copy of this order along with copy of representation dated 25.4.2023 (Annexure P-7) be sent to respondent No.4-Commissioner of Police, Amritsar, for necessary compliance.
