On 16.10.2023, the following order was passed : "Learned counsel for the respondents-Union of India submits that passport of the petitioner is lying in the custody of police. The petitioner has not impleaded 'State of Punjab' in the array of respondents. On the asking of Court, Mr. Deepanjay Sharma, DAG, Punjab, seeks time to get instructions with respect to FIR No.248 dated 06.11.2021 registered against the petitioner under Sections 304-B & 498-A of Indian Penal Code, 1860 and status of the passport. He is further directed to ascertain whether passport of the petitioner is lying in the custody of Investigating Officer.
