Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that after registration of FIR No.30 dated 01.02.2017, police has not taken any action against the accused and the petitioner apprehends threat to her life and liberty, regarding which representation (Annexure P-2) was made to Senior Superintendent of Police, Jaladhar (Rural).

In view of submission of counsel for the petitioner but without expressing any opinion on merits, this petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Jalandhar (Rural) to verify contention of threat to life of petitioner as per representation Annexure P-2 and take appropriate action in accordance with law. However, it is made clear that nothing contained in above order will be interpreted to provide protection to the petitioner from any legal action initiated or to be taken in any civil, criminal or any other proceedings against him in accordance with law.
