(Oral) The hearing of the case was held through video conferencing on account of restricted functioning of the Courts. Through this writ petition, the petitioners pray for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus to direct the respondent No.7 and 8 not to put the dirty water/effluent of the sewerage in the stadium. Pursuant to the notice, separate written statements have been filed by respondent No. 6 and 7. It has been pointed out that the Water Supply and Sewerage Board has been allotted 1 acre plot to construct a sewerage treatment plant. This is in a corner of the land earmarked for stadium. It has further been stated that in order to curb the flow of sewerage in Bhagwanpra drain, the plant is being constructed so as to ensure that 100% sewerage water, after treatment, is discharged in the drain.
