(proceedings conducted through video conferencing) ***** GURVINDER SINGH GILL, J.(Oral) The petitioner challenges his transfer as made vide order dated 17.8.2020 (Annexure P-1) passed by respondent No.2-The Director General, Transport Department, Haryana Roadways, Sector-17, Chandigarh, on the ground that the same is against the settled transfer policy inasmuch as the petitioner is due to retire within 8 months.

Since the petitioner is already stated to have joined at Karnal, the petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents that in case the petitioner moves any representation against his transfer, the same be considered expeditiously preferably within a period of 10 days from receipt of such representation. It is expected that any such representation would be considered sympathetically keeping in view the fact that the petitioner is due to retire within 8 months only.
