**** ANOOP CHITKARA, J. (ORAL) The present peƟƟon has been filed under ArƟcle 226 of the ConsƟtuƟon of India for issuance of direcƟons to respondents No. 2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty of the peƟƟoner and his family members at the hands of respondent No. 4. 2.
Status report dated 03.08.2023 filed by State counsel today in the Court is taken on record. State counsel submits that respondent No. 4-SHO against whom, the peƟƟoner was apprehending threat has already been transferred. 3.
Given such statement, counsel for the peƟƟoner submits that he would be contended and saƟsfied that in case, the peƟƟoner faces any fresh threat percepƟons then he be permiƩed to make a complaint to the concerned Superintendent of Police, who shall take appropriate acƟon.

Be that as it may, the present peƟƟon is disposed of with liberty aforesaid. Even otherwise, there is no need for the peƟƟoner to take permission of this Court regarding the aforesaid order because it is his fundamental right to seek protecƟon of his life under ArƟcle 21 of the ConsƟtuƟon of India. It is clarified that in case, the peƟƟoner files any such applicaƟon regarding threat to his life and liberty, the same be decided on top most priority and not later than one week. All pending miscellaneous applicaƟons, if any, stand disposed of.
