This petition has been filed under Section 482 of BNSS, 2023, seeking anticipatory bail to the petitioners in FIR No.36 dated 30.03.2025, registered under Sections 406, 420 IPC at Police Station Nurpur Bedi, District Rupnagar.

On 20.05.2025, the following order was passed:- "Status report dated 19.05.2025 in the form of an affidavit of Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sri Anandpur Sahib, District Rupnagar, has been filed. The same is taken on record. Copy thereof has been supplied to learned counsel for the petitioner.

2. ASI Malkeet Singh, P.S. Noorpur Bedi, Rupnagar is present in Court.

3. After hearing the arguments, it transpires that no alleged payment has been made to the petitioners by the complainant but is in favour of one Renu Sood-non MOHD YAKUB 2025.07.16 16:54 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Punjab & Haryana High Court at Chandigarh

Be it the case, without commenting on the merits, the petitioners are directed to join the investigation within seven days from today and in the event of their arrest, they are ordered to be released on interim bail on their furnishing personal/surety bonds to the satisfaction of the Arresting Officer/Investigating Officer. They shall also abide by conditions as envisaged under Section 482(2) of BNSS, 2023.

Learned State counsel assisted by learned counsel for the complainant and on instructions from ASI Malkit Singh, at the very outset, informs the Court that the petitioners have joined the investigation and their custodial interrogation is not required. 4.

In view of the statement of learned State counsel, order dated 20.05.2025 is hereby made absolute. The petitioners shall abide by the terms and conditions envisaged under Section 482(2) of BNSS (erstwhile Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973). 5.

The petition stands disposed of.
