Present:

Mr. S.S. Majithia, Advocate for the petitioners Mr. Jaspreet Sekhon, AAG, Punjab Ms. Neelam Rani, Advocate for respondent No. 2 **** RITU BAHRI , J. (Oral) Quashing of FIR No. 69 dated 04.04.2012 under Section 406/498-A/323 IPC, registered at Police Station Jandiala Guru, District Amritsar, is being sought on the basis of compromise deed dated 04.03.2017 (Annexure P-2) Respondent No. 2 got married to petitioner No. 1 on about 7-8 years back from the date of registration of F.I.R. Due to temperamental differences, both the parties could not live together as husband and wife. Out of this wedlock, one girl child was born. The relationship between them became strained and F.I.R was registered against the petitioners on account of harassment and humiliation caused by the petitioners on the pretext of bringing less dowry by respondent No. 2.

However, the matter has now been duly compromised, on the basis of compromise deed dated 04.03.2017 (Annexure P-2). GAURAV ARORA 2017.05.09 15:17 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh

Crl. Misc. No. M-8075 of 2017 In compliance of order dated 09.03.2017, report dated 03.05.2017 of Judicial Magistrate 1st Class, Amritsar has been received in this regard.
