Harvinder Singh Maan, Advocate for the petitioners. **** TEJINDER SINGH DHINDSA , J .(Oral) This case has been taken up through Video Conferencing via Webex facility in the light of Pandemic Covid-19 situation and as per instructions.

In the present writ petition the grievance which is being raised by the petitioners is that the enhanced D.A from 80% to 90% from 1.7.2013 to 31.1.2014 and thereafter further enhanced from 90% to 100% from 1.1.2014 to 30.9.2014 and still further enhanced from 100% to 107% for the period 1.7.2014 to 28.2.2015 has not been released to them and the prayer of the petitioners is that directions be issued to the respondents to release the said benefit along with interest @ 9% per annum. Counsel has adverted to the orders passed by different Coordinate Benches of this Court at Annexures P-2 to P-4 whereunder similar relief had been sought and the writ petitions had been disposed of by issuing directions to the respondent authorities to consider the legal notice(s) GEETA RANI 2020.09.03 14:38 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CWP No.13492 of 2020 (O&M) -2that had been served by the petitioners therein and to take a final decision thereupon.

Counsel prays that similar course of action be followed in the instant writ petition as well.

Submission made by counsel is found to be just and reasonable. Accordingly, the instant writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 i.e. Registrar, Punjabi University, Patiala/Accountant authority to examine the claim of the petitioner against the back drop of a representation dated 18.03.2020 (Annexure P-5) that has already been submitted and to pass a detailed speaking order thereupon within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of the said order. Suffice it to observe that in case the petitioners are found entitled to the claim that they are seeking, the necessary financial benefits would be made over to them without any further delay. Disposed of.
