JUSTICE AMARJOT BHATTI The brief facts of the case are that complainant-Roma Sehgal has filed complaint against her husband alleging that she got married with the petitioner-Vineet Sehgal on 02.12.2010. Her parents had spent money to the tune of Rs.15 lacs which was beyond their capacity. They had given gold and silver jewellery, car and other articles. After marriage she lived in the matrimonial home and gave birth to a daughter on 20.10.2011 and a son was born on 05.09.2017 in America. Her husband was a drunkard and used to quarrel with her. He raised demand of Rs.30 lacs from her parents. The

matter was reconciled. After the death of her father-in-law the behavior of her husband become more cruel towards her. She was beaten up and insulted. Thereafter she started living in her parental house along with her children. The matter was reported to the police and ultimately, the FIR was got registered.
