SANDEEP MOUDGIL, J (ORAL) Present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution praying for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondent Nos.1 to 3 to protect the life and personal liberty of the petitioners at the hands of respondent Nos.4 to 6 with further direction to respondent Nos.1 to 3 to now allow respondent Nos.4 to 6 or anybody else to interfere with the life and liberty of the petitioners.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that he will be satisfied in case direction be issued to respondent No.2 to decide the representation dated 28.04.2025 (P.5) within a time bound manner.

Mr. Jastej Singh, Addl.AG, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State and assures the Court that necessary action will be taken on the representation dated 28.04.2025 (P.5) within three days from today by passing a speaking order after providing an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. In view of the statement made by learned State counsel, learned counsel for the petitioner does not press the instant petition. Dismissed as not pressed.
