(ORAL) This is a revision petition that has been filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India praying for setting aside the impugned order dated 08.05.2019 passed by the Court of Sh. Varun Nagpal, Rent Controller, Chandigarh regarding the assessment of rent in case No. RC/469/2015 titled "Charanjit Kaur vs. Randhir Singh".

Appearance has been put in by Mr. Ajay Singla, Advocate, for the caveator who takes up a plea that the instant revision petition is not maintainable in the light of the judgment rendered by this Court in Ajay Partap Singh vs. Gurdial Singh and others, 2015(2) Rent Law Reporter 327, wherein it has been held that an appeal would lie against the provisional assessment of rent.
