(proceedings conducted through video conferencing) ***** GURVINDER SINGH GILL, J.(Oral) The petitioners have approached this Court seeking issuance of directions to respondents No.3 and 4 so as to release the payments for the work of milling/shelling of paddy under the Scheme of custom milling of paddy.

The learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that the petitioners, who are Rice/General Millers, entered into separate agreements with the Punjab Agro Foodgrains Corporation Limited (PAFC), whereby they undertook milling of padding. The learned counsel has further submitted that Punjab Agro Foodgrains Corporation Limited (PAFC) did not release the amounts due to the petitioners towards milling charges, security deposit and interest. The petitioners had submitted representations in this regard to the PANKAJ KAKKAR 2020.09.04 13:40 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and without making any expression as regards merits of the case, the petition is disposed of with a direction to respondents No.3-The Punjab Agro Foodgrains Corporation Limited (PAFC) and respondent No.4-The District Manager, Punjab Agro Foodgrains Corporation, Hoshiarpur to look into the matter. In case any such application is filed by the petitioners, the same be got examined in accordance with law expeditiously. If anything is found due to be paid to the petitioners, the same be paid within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of such representation.
