    A piece of land owned by the petitioners herein was acquired by the State of Haryana vide award dated 24.05.2013 passed under Section 11 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894. The petitioners claim that they are entitled to payment of certain amount under a policy for rehabilitation and resettlement of land owners and acquisition oustees, 2007, which was revised in the year 2010. The petitioners claim that the aforesaid amount which is payable annually is not being released.

Mr. Samarth Sagar, Addl. AG, Haryana, accepts notice for the respondent-State.

Considering the controversy involved, it is considered appropriate to dispose of the writ petition at this stage itself. The petitioners are stated to have served a notice through their counsel on the Land

It is claimed that in-spite of the aforesaid notice, no action has been taken although, learned counsel representing the petitioners was informed that the amount would be paid with respect to the years 2016, 2017 and 2018 as per the orders passed by the Chief Administrator on 23.12.2019 after receiving possession report. Keeping in view the aforesaid facts, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the Land Acquisition Collector to pass a speaking order treating the notice as a representation. If the petitioners are found entitled to the payment under the aforesaid policy, the same shall be released within a period of 2 months from the date of order.

All the pending miscellaneous applications, if any, are also disposed of.
