The petitioners have approached this Court seeking grant of regular bail in respect of a case registered vide FIR No.64 dated 6.5.2022, Police Station Sector-39, Chandigarh, under Sections 419, 420, 467, 468, 471 and 120-B of Indian Penal Code.

The allegations in the FIR are to the effect that the petitioners had cheated the complainant and usurped an amount of Rs.18 lakhs while the petitioners were working as agents in the call center of the insurance company. 3.

Learned State counsel has, however, feigned ignorance about the compromise and has submitted that since serious allegations in respect of usurp of huge amount have been levelled, no case for grant of bail is made out. Learned State counsel has informed that challan already stands presented.

Mr. Yashasvi Kapila, Advocate representing the complainant has endorsed the factum of compromise and has submitted that he has no objection in case the petitioners are granted bail.

In view of the aforestated position, wherein the investigation is already complete and the matter is otherwise stated to have been compromised, further detention of the petitioners will not serve any useful purpose.
