1. The present petition has been filed for directing the respondents to release the retiral benefits i.e. Gratuity, CPF and Pension along with interest @ 18%, which has not been released to the petitioner from 31.08.2022. 2. Learned counsel submits that the petitioner has retired on attaining the age of superannuation on 31.08.2022, however, in April, 2024, only leave encashment has been released, that also without interest, but the other retiral benefits i.e. Gratuity, CPF, Pension etc. are still to be released. In this regard, a representation/application dated 02.05.2024, Annexure P-1, has been submitted by him, which has yet not evoked any response. He thus, at this stage, on instructions, submits that the petitioner is sanguine of it being considered in a positive manner, in case, a direction is given to the respondents to decide the same in a time bound manner by granting him an opportunity of hearing. 3. Notice of motion.

In view of the above and without commenting on the merits of the case, this petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to the respondents to decide the representation dated 02.05.2024, within a period of 4 months, which this Court has no reason to believe the authorities would not address in a just, fair and reasonable manner. Upon doing so, after notice and hearing offered to him and if found entitled, grant the benefit forthwith. Needless to say, if the orders are adverse to his interest, the same shall contain reasons and the petitioner shall be free to seek legal redress thereupon
